Vice Manufacturing Operation Manager - Based in HCMC – Salary negotiation ($2,500 - $3,000)

Our Client, a FDI Group Company doing business in shoes sourcing and buying field, are now looking for  Vice Manufacturing Operation Manager -  Based in HCMC – Salary negotiation ($2,500 - $3,000):  

Key duties:
·         Leads and manages the factory-based category development, commercialisation and QA teams to raise standards of performance within the supply chain and product development process across the category in conjunction and support of the Country lead and business objectives.
·         Ensures effective product development, costing, commercialization to meet category expectations
·         Local tactical lead and daily vendor management accountability
·         Manages the category product development process, critical path, and sample requirements in conjunction with factories and Merchandising Team, providing regular reporting and feedback.
·         Oversees commercialization procedures are executed according to commercialization calendar to allow for on-time production start; is able to work within commercialization timelines without compromise to product quality.
·         Ensures all projects meet the critical path for development milestones and production
·         On-time approval of confirmation sample and Tech 1 (fitting sample)
·         Timely factory debrief on new development of products
·         Ensures all products are developed and engineered in accordance with the design and specification requirements detailed by UK creation team while maintaining an emphasis on performance and integrity
·         Ensures product is developed to cost targets. Work collaboratively with suppliers to optimize value/cost ratio
·         Ensures all samples are executed as per the Brand’s requirements and specifications
·         Supports material sourcing by recommending alternative quality vendors
·         Provides hands-on technical and innovative solution for critical seasonal projects
·         Maintains collaborative and effective relationship with the Merchandising Team, Company Asia Shared Services, factory partners and other key stakeholders
·         Recommends and implements technical and operational manuals and guidelines to continuously improve and maintain the company’s established standards. These are to be generic as well as brand specific reflecting specific brand requirements
·         Manages and mentors team , elevates team performance and capability
·         Develops a close working relationship with brand development team, provides solutions to on-going process issues and mentors guides improvement in capability of both brand and vendor team.
·         Team training
·         Supports the country lead / regional head of development with project implementation
·         Deputies as required in lieu of country lead
·         Daily supports QA and C&P functions in resolution of production issues in collaboration with country lead
·         Supports as required the Country lead and RQAM through team facilitation / reporting and project implantation.
·         Delivers against business objectives
·         Maintain effective and professional working relationships with the brand teams and the factories at highest possible level of trust and integrity, ensuring all parties work together to form a cohesive operating unit in his area.
·         Effectively communicate with factory staff and suppliers to ensure they are fully conversant with all our requirements and future improvement goals for product quality, packaging, branding and business standards. Manage and review standard finished product and material testing. Ensure faulty product and materials are not going into production.
·         Up to date on brand Objectives, Goals, Strategies and measurements and effectively contribute to country and T1 success
Effectively coordinate and communicate with Development and Merchandizing team for production status reports, capacity bottlenecks, any potential delays and reasons, or any other factors that could lead to shipment delays.


·         At least 6 years’ experience insimilar role, preferably with major international footwear brands
·         Solid experience and knowledge in blueprint reading, pattern making, construction, materials, and components usage for relevant product categories
·         Solid experience in product development timeline management
·         Solid experience in working with manufacturers in our operating locations
·         Strong influencing skills within and outside of our organisation
·         Experienced and effective partner and stakeholder management knowledge
·         An experienced people manager
·         Can-do attitude, whilewillingandableto comeupwithpractical solutionswhenproblemsarise
·         Ability to self-manage, prioritise and multi-task
·         Ability to work both independently & as part of a team
·         Experienced in working effectively across multiple functions in a global business
·         Strong communications skills in a multi-cultural environment
·         PC literate: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
·         Good command of spoken and written English
·         Willing to travel when necessary
·         Solution based – proactive and able to take a balanced view on issues and challenges
